A&M Will Close Cage Season
Tonight With Longhorns in Austin
Steer Victory
Will Give Texas
Third Place in SW
Tonight in Austin the down
trodden Texas Aggies carry their
ever determined fight to Forty
Acres to close the season with the
Texas University Longhorns.
A victory for the Steers will
give them an undisturbed hold on
the third place runner, Arkansas
and Rice having completed their
schedule and taken the first two
places. A loss will throw them in
a tie for the show place with S.
M. U. and Baylor.
Four of the Aggie cagers will
play their final minutes.
Team captain Bill Dawson who
has led the cadets through the
season with his downfloor breaks
and his one hand shots from every
point on the hardwood; Harold
Duncan, six foot four rafter reach-
er from Kingsville; scrapping J.
T. Lang who ran at center and
pushed the team in a number of
games; and Sammy Dwyer, the
hard luck boy of the all-cagers—

Fifth Sports Day
Opening Saturday afternoon will
be Texas A. & M.’s fifth annual
Sports Day, sponsored by the “T”
association. With the main features
taking place on Kyle Field there
will also be a horde of other events
which include a water polo game,
intra-squad baseball contest, and
a full time football game.
With spring practice ending
March 12, the football game will
be the last fray of the year. This
occasion offers the cadets a chance
to see two of A. & M.’s major
sports, baseball and football in
action. The baseball team has been
working out since March 1 and this
will be the first time the team has
met any organized squad, the game
being an intra-squad affair.
The water polo team will take
on the intramural champions.
Other events in the offing are
50-yard dashes for the football
players by position, kicking and
passing drills, fundamentals and
explanation of formations, and one
or two plays.
The events of the day begin at
1:15 and most likely will be over
by 5:30. All athletes and Homer
Norton are expecting a large at
tendance and the “T” club prom
ises that the spectators will have
a thoroughly enjoyable time.

previous engagement; Eugenia
