Rumors to the effect that the mess hall next year will be operat ed on a cafeteria system were de nied by Dean Charles E. Friley, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences this morning. There will not be any material change in the system used at present, it was an nounced. “Considerable discussion has been had from time to time, in regard to changing the mess hall system of operations, but there have been no changes along these lines for the next year. Reductions have been made in the maintenance fee, which includes meals and dor mitory fees; and next year may be paid in four payments per term, should the student so desire,” Dean Friley said. “The cafeteria style may be later put in the mess hall, but there are several difficulties which at pres ent have not been overcome that will prevent the change at the pres ent.” el, N.
