Moon.”

Southerner.”
1—Fair, 2—Good, 3—Excellent.
“Scandal Sheet,” is George Ban
croft’s greatest picture. It is “wux-
tra extra,” with action, in typical
Bancroft fashion. The story is of a
newspaper editor, who knows plenty,
and prints it, even though it wrecks
his own happiness. The support cast
is excellent, with Kay Francis and
Clive Brook.—2.
Showing at the Queen in Bryan,
“Girls Demand Excitement,” an en
tertaining bit of comedy and action,
—2. and John Hack Brown, with
Eleanor Boardman, in “The Great
Meadow,” a stirring and exciting yarn
of pioneering.—2.
Now we have the treat of all treats,
Will Rogers in “A Connecticutt Yan
kee,” adapted from Mark Twain’s fa
mous story. Although a few liberties
have been taken with the book, even
Twain wouldn’t object. Everyone
knows the delicious and imaginative
story, and everyone knows the natur
al humor of Will Rogers, an unbeat
able combination. Myrna Loy, is the
alluring, slinky, exotic, sensuous
vamp, Morgan Le Fay. With the sin
uous Myrna, in the support cast, are
William Farnum, Maureen O’Sullivan,
and Frank Albertson, and a thousand
knights in coats of mail and bantum
autos, armed with machine guns.—3.
“New Moon,” gives pleasing music
of the drama, with two of the greatest
screen voices, Lawrence Tibbett and
Grace Moore. This story of the Rus
sian army, combines color, drama, and
beauty. The support cast in this broad-
way hit, are Adolphe MenJou, and Ro
land Young.—2.
“Beau Ideal,” is the sequel to the
story ‘ Beau Geste.” The story is a
deathless one of two men who loved
the same girl, and the girl who loved
both of them. The setting is in the
burning desert, at war with savage
hordes of Arabs. Loretta Young,
Ralph Forbes, and Irene Rich, leaci
the cast.—2.
Lawerence Tibbett appears in a
new picture, “The Southerner.” His
new role is that of a singing hobo on
the open road. The picture differs
from all his preceding ones, in its
theme and interest. The three hoboes
in the cast are Lawerence Tibbett,
Ukelele Ike, and Roland Young. Esth
er Ralston, is also in the support case
of this charming comedy.—3.
