If co-education has no other spec ial value, it is of use in aiding girls to choose the proper husbands, ac cording to Dr. Anna Y. Reed, pro fessor of Personnel Administration at Washington—IThe age old search for the mysteries of Atlantis, has en gaged the sympathy of Ambassador Charles G. Dawes, who has employed Prof. Charles Upson Clark, of Yale University, to go to the library of the Vatican, in Rome, to seek the key to the Mayan mysteries. The legend of Atlantis, much of which may be true, has it that it was a great continent of peaceful ness, industry and wealth, whose people, unpurged by travail, turned to sin for excitement. Then came a day of darkness when the sun was hidden by black clouds and the earth trembled, and a great wave of the sea submerged Atlantis vmd its people. St. Mary’s Seminary at Cincinna ti has been given a sum of money by Pope Pius personally, the amount be ing- sufficient to pay the entire ex penses of one student through the entire course and then allow him to continue his studies in Rome. The gift, one of the most unusual in Catholic history, was given in con nection with the celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the seminary here.
