Former Eng. Prof
Soph at Tulane
The following- excerpt from a fun
edition of the “Tulane Hulabaloo”
will be appreciated by members of
the junior and senior classes at A.
and M. since its subject is none other
than our erstwhile English professor.
Richard (Jelly) Stephenson, member
of the English department at Tulane,
and apparently doing quite well since
he is now referred to as a “grown-up
sophomore.”
Richard Stephenson
Dicky Stephenson’s bones
Crumbled quite to the core,
And nought now remains
Of his Mercury Lore;
While his soul has departed
From these scenes of yore,
For a Hell reserved
For the Grownup Sophomore.

cadets.
Coach Ried has been nosing around
for the past two months for future
basketball players and any one that
has been asked to come out for the
practice should do so. Also any one
that wishes to report is urged to
see Coach Reid at once and draw-
equipment at once. It takes time to
make basketball players and Coach
Reid is beginning at the bottom.
There are many men who have never-
tried for the Fish or Varsity team
that are as good as many of the pres
ent Varsity men and Coach Reid
wishes to find these men. Anyone can
report. Fish are especially urged to
come out.
