To abolish the fundamental prin ciples of an organization is to end that organization and all it advo- to ament must be ascertained by man. The time for an entire rear rangement is obvious to all sane men. One has accidently happened upon a conspiracy. He relates it to become a traitor; he is silent and becomes a conspirator. In every case one finds it necessary to choose one side. To be smart one reasons his choice by comparative value of past facts and future possibilities. Others are guided by an emotional desire for beauty. The crisis has come. We must choose between beauty alone and beauty and stability plus a million traditions. Cleopatra was beautiful, but did not endure. History repeats itself. When we are shown that any unit of a body is stronger than the entire body we choose the unit. Un til then let us by sound reasoning choose the body and solicit its sup port. —A member of the Class of ’31 POLO SPREADING WESTWARD FAST “The East is still the center of high goal polo, but the West is ar riving fast,” says Topliffe Sawyer in his article, “The Galloping Game” in the April issue of College Humor. “There has been an addition to polo to the college ranks, for in the East Cornell is now organized and hopes for necessary facilities some time. The other colleges and universities— Princeton, West Point and Penn Mil itary—are thoroughly sold on the game and are carrying on with en thusiasm. “Elbridge T. Gerry of New York has succeeded Tim Clark as Harvard polo captain and with E. K. Jenkins, Harry Nicholas and possibly Crispin Cooke of Buffalo, makes up the four around which Coach Captain Freder ick D. Sharp plans to build his in door and outdoor championship de fenders. In 1928 Harvard wrested the indoor championship from Penn Military, and the outdoor title from Yale. “Yale has a wealth of polo materi al. The outstanding men are: S. B. Inglehart, J. C.
