Tomb of Egyptian
Priest Unearthed
LONDON.—A great tomb, con
taining relics of life in Egypt almost
5,000 years ago—the burial place of
Raouer, the high priest of the god
dess Nekheb—has been uncovered by
excavations near ttre world-famous
Sphinx.
While the articles and the mummy
itself are of the highest archeologi
cal value, probably the most startl
ing find was one that revealed a
drama enacted probably centuries
ago within the dark fastnesses of
the tomb.
Thrust into the open coffin of the
mummy was the dismembered skele
ton of a man’s hand. It’s fingers still
clutched a necklace and a quantity
of precious stones.
NEW YORK.—How closely relat
ed are man and ape ?
This question is about to receive
an authoritative answer.
Three of New York’s leading sci
entists, attached to Columbia Uni
versity and the American Museum of
Natural History, have just returned
from Africa with the embalmed
bodies of two huge adult gorillas—
the first ever to be brought into civ
ilization’s laboratories in such com
plete condition.
The bodies are to be dissected for
a thorough anatomical comparison
with the human body.
The leader of the expedition is
still in Africa. He is Henry C. Raven,
associate curator of comperative and
human anatomy at the museum. His
associates, professors at Columbia,
have returned to resume their class
room duties after an eight-month
absence. 4! K

how the problem will be solved.

College Humor Magazine
Asked 137 College Pen Healers
In a recent nation-wide magazine
poll of 12 vocational pen markets,
Parker was first in 9 out of 12 voca
tions representing 94.72% of the
vocational market.
In the new census of 137 college
pen dealers, 45.11 % say Parker is
the official college pen — more than
2 to 1 the favorite over the next two
nearest makes.
One big reason for Parker Duo-
fold’s overwhelming popularity is its
convertible feature—like two pens
for the price of one—for pocket, for
study desk. Attaching a taper con
verts the Parker in 10 seconds from
a Pocket Duofold to a Desk Pen.
So whether you want a Desk Set
at once or later, if you now get the
Convertible Pocket Duofold Pen, all
you’ll need is a base to complete the
set. A tapered end comes free. You
save the price of a second pen.
See Parker’s new streamlined
shape that sets lower in the pocket
because the clip starts at the top —
not halfway down the cap. And see
the name, “Geo. S. Parker—DUO
FOLD,” that guarantees it for life !
