Cavalrymen threatened to score only
once. Steitler and Swede, opposing
backs, were the main cogs in their
teams’ offense.
Woodmen’s Infantrymen took the
short end of a seven to six score
when they met the Second Artillery.
The Artillerymen scored early in the
game, while the score of the Infan
trymen didn’t come until the final
quarter. The Artillery drew a 25-yard
penalty which put the ball on their
1-yard line, the Infantry had little
trouble in scoring from this position.
Some of the teams were hit pretty
hard when some of their old players
failed to re-enter the second term.
