Class VII
Ladies Jumping—3:05 p. m.
Open to any mounts, any rider.
Conditions: Seven jumps not to
exceed 3’ 6” in height nor 5’ 6” in
width. Two jumps on each side and
one down the center. Kinds: Brush,
post and rail, chicken coop, stone
wall and rail and triple bar.
Course: Once and a half around
and down the center.
Penalties: (See penalties).
Class VIII
Rescue Race—3:15 p. m
Open to one two man team from
each troop and battery (Sophomore
class). Mounts: United States Gov
ernment. Equipment: Double bridle
and McClelland saddle. Conditions:
Horse and rider to start at scratch
race to end of ring, pick up team
mate and return to scratch.
Class IX
Cow Pony Race—3:30 p. m.
Open to any mount, any rider.
Limited to one entry per troop and
battery. Equipment: Any saddle, any
bit. Conditions: Contestants to start
at scratch, race to end of ring, exe
cute a figure eight (8) around two
stakes and return to scratch. Fail
ure to execute figure 8 or knocking
down stake elimination.
Class X
Open Jumping—3:50 p. m.
Open to any mount, any rider.
Limited to one cadet per troop and
battery, riding Uunited States Gov
ernment mounts. Horses for stu
dents to be drawn for by lot. Con
ditions: Course same as Class VI,
except jumps not to exceed 3’ 8”.
Penalties: (See Penalties).
Class XI
Plantation Walk—4:10 p. m.
Open to any mount, any rider.
Performance of horse only to
count. Conditions: To be judged on
performance of horse.
Class XII
Exhibition Drill—4:20 p. m.
By cadets of Artillery Battalion.
