Dear Sirs:
I have used one small box of your
extra High Grade Plug Slice Tobacco,
and as I have had twenty-seven years
of experience as a tobacco user, I find
your High Grade Edgeworth to be
superior to all others.
There is extra enjoyment in the use
of ; t, which I will make known to my
friends and continue the pleasure
myself.

WHERE WOULD YOU RATHER
LIVE?
“The ideal town never embraces
more than forty thousand folks,”
says Meredith Nicholson, famous
Hoosier writer, in the April College
Humor. “This is the largest ag
gregation among; whom one may
think to good purpose, belong to a
first-class quartet, organize picnics
in the chigger season and take Mary,
the beautiful cashier in the El;ite
Motion Picture Theater, to the an
nual ball of the Pioneer Club with
out causing scandal. My only com

polis—is that it has insisted on in
creasing its population so rapidly.
“I am not a salaried booster for
the Corn Belt but as a native son
of that area I have given a great
deal of thought to the desirability
of residence in other parts of the
republic. Once I though I saw the
Colorado mountains beckoning to
me, but the blue sky was too much
for me; I got so homesick for Indi

to old Aunt Mary’s that I beat it

here I remain in spite of jobs ten
dered me in Boston and New York
and two chances to put myself on
Uncle Sam’s payroll as a diplomat.
“The seai’ch for the right door of
opportunity is part of the adventure
of life. The youth of the nation be

are over. The farm boy—like his
cousin from the small town—is of
ten disposed to think a little con
temptuously of his sire for having
spent his life in a small community.
He thinks he would prefer to live
in a metropolis where he could have
free swing at a long list of shows
every night and where nobody is
likely to annoy him by stopping him
on the street to ask about his Uncle
Tobias’ rheumatism. He is sick of
the small town stuff.
“But if you feel the call to do
great things for mankind, the
American small city offers abundant
