Homecoming- day for the alumni and former students of Texas Chris tian University will be on Thanks giving. The plans for the entertain ment of the visitors will be made at a meeting of the executive board of the Fort Worth chapter of the Alum ni and Ex-Students Association ;to be held on October 22. In the past homecoming day at T. C. U. has been celebrated in June, but because of the large crowds of former students and alumni back for the T. C. U.-S. M. U. game on Thanks giving Day, it has been decided to celebrate hom£comip|g day at that time. University to be Founded in Memory of William Jennings Bryan. State Headquarters for the Bryan Memorial Association are to be lo cated at San Antonio, and the Rev. J. T. Bell, an evangelist, has been designated State Representative. The Association was formed for the pur pose of founding a university at Day- ton, Tenn., in memory of the late William Jennings Bryan. The pro posed university would stand for fun damental religious principles defend ed by Bryan in the Scopes evolution trial at Dayton. * Field Artillery Batteries Compete for Trophy. Every year the Field Artillery or ganizations of the Army compete for I the Knox Trophy donated by the So- ! ciety of the Sons of the Revolution ! of the Commonwealth of Massachu setts. This trophy is given to the Field Artillery unit which has the highest rating as judged on firing efficiency, mobility, communications and interior economy for the year. At present Battery D, 15th F. A., Fort Sam Houston, is undergoing the tests for the trophy, and the firing is being done at Camp Stanley. Three offi cers from the 12th and three from the 15th Field Artillery compose the board of officers supervising the tests. ;Js if: Mental Tests Given at Baylor.
