AGGIE RAND
READY FOR
YEAR’S WORK
Has Largest Membership in History
Of College
The Aggie Band this year is com
posed of 110 pieces and is the best
of its kind in the state. We Aggies
are proud of it, and we have just
cause to be. Just think what A. and
M. would be like without “Taps,”
“Goodbye to Texa'si,” “Wildcat,”
“Spirit of Aggieland,” and others that
we know and love so well.
Also there is the orchestra that
plays in Guion Hall each Sunday. We
take it as a matter of course without
thinking of the difficult task of or
ganizing and maintaining an orches
tra of this kind. For this orchestra,
we are indebted to Mr. Dunn, our
Band Director. He also directs the
chorus that we will hear in Guion Hall
later on this year.
It is not definitely decided whether
the band will g*o to the Sewanee game
or not. We hope that it does though,
because we know how it helps our
“Ole Army” when it needs help.
