14 THE BAT T ALIGN FALL PRACTICE Bright Prospects Loom Up as First Workout of Season Is Held Under the direction of Track Coach Frank Anderson and S. D. Snyder, who has assisted in cross country coaching at A. & M. for several years, the Aggies’ cross country team got down to actual training for the 1927 season, Sept. 19. Snyder will help with the cross country men during the early football training in which Anderson is assisting. With the return ,pf one and possibly two of last year’s lettermen assured and with three squad men and five promising men from the freshman team of last year, the outlook for a successful season is bright. Three meets have already been scheduled for the 1927 season and more are expected to be scheduled in a few days. The Aggies will meet the Texas Longhorns October 28 at Austin and the Rice Owls November 11 at Houston. The other meet is the Conference meet at Dallas November 19th.
