Roland General Whitaker O. D. Roland of Union City, Tenn., captain of the Trinity University Tigers, and General Whitaker of Cal- orado, star fullback of the Tigers, will play their fourth game against the Texas Aggies Saturday. It will be the third time that they have played on Kyle Field. Roland was named as one of the leading players of the country at guard last year by Spaulding’s foot ball guide. He was selected by sev eral for a position on the all-star Texas Conference team. Whitaker was named for all-state scolastic quarterback in 1923 when he played with Strawn high school. He is one of the most outstanding backs of the Texas Conference. The Trinity Tigers of Waxahachie, 1 led by Captain O. D. Roland of Un- ' ion City, Tenn., will invade Aggieland next Saturday to meet the Texas Ag- ^ gies in their initial battle of the sea- ( son. Coaches Holton and Wilkins of i Trinity bring a team composed al- [ most entirely of veterans, and it is likely that the starting line-up will be composed of 10 letter men and one reserve of the 1926 team. Seven of these veterans have played on his toric Kyle Field before, as they were members of the team that lost to the Aggies last year, 20 to 10, when the Farmers rallied in the last quarter to overcome a lead annexed by the proteges of Coach Holton. This score, due to the fact that it j is one of the largest that any team has ever made against the Farmers | on Kyle Field, combined with the fact ^ that practically the same team with a year more experience will play this | week, indicates that the game is not going to be “duck soup” by any means and the Aggie followers will have ample opportunity to see their team demonstrate against competi tion that is plenty strong. Veterans making the trip to Aggie land will be picked from the following 1 iettermen and reserves: Centers: Thompson, San Antonio; Moore, Hubbard; Burleson, Waxa hachie; B. McCluney, Kerens. Right guards: Kozeleki, Yorktown; A. McCluney, Kerens. Left guards: Capt. O. D. Roland, Union City, Tenn.; Duncan, Kauf- ' man. Right tackle: Hollenshead, Haynes- THE CAMPUS CLEANERS and TAILORS (Operated by Former Students’ Association for the benefit of the Students’ Loan Fund) HENRY LOCKE, Mgr.
