Camels add the charm of living
RIVERSIDE
DANCE BRIGHT
SOCIAL SUCCESS
A. and M. Elite Attend Society Event.
Last Saturday night about thirty
five social hounds journeyed out to
Riverside. Among the most promi
nent were “Jar” Frels, “Pud” Dash-
iell, “Red” Ronshausen, “Bozo” Bain,
' and “Five Yards” Cox. Everyone ex
pects “Pud” to be present at the next
corps dance to demonstrate the fam
ous dance that he learned called Ala
Boheme. There is no doubt but what
the enrollment will be increased at A.
and M. in a short time since “Red”
Ronshausen consigned his campaign
hat to some promising young gentle
man near Riverside Saturday night.
However, he might have left it in
tentionally in order to hve a logical
excuse to go again real soon. Many
have wondered why Cox was given the
nick-name “Five Yards,” but any one.
in doubt about it could have easily
seen that it is very appropriate, had
they only been at Riverside Satur
day night and seen him dash in for
many yards and rescue the flaming
fair sex from the many hopeless
strugglers. Everyone enjoyed the
dance very much since the music was
furnished by the Caldwell Syncopa-
ters.
PLANS FOR 50TH YEAR
JUBILEE NOW COMPLETE
(Continued from Page 1)
WHETHER through the tasks of
every day, or in life’s moments of
crisis and great reward, the com
fort and understanding of Camel
cheers us on our way. For no other
cigarette was ever so friendly, so
loyal as Camel. The unfathomec * 1
goodness, the deep underlying
quality of Camel tobaccos is
ever-dependable.
The world’s largest tobacco or
ganization buys the best of every
thing for Camels. The choicest
Turkish and Domestic tobaccos
grown. The kind of blending that
only such a group of experts could
give. Regardless of what you are
willing to pay, there is no other
cigarette like Camel; there can be
no better cigarette made than
Camels. Camels never tire the
taste, no matter how indefatigably
you smoke them, never leave a
cigaretty after-taste.
If you don’t yet know Camel
enjoyment, just sample the most
exquisite fragrance that ever came
from a cigarette. Have a Camel!
I tutions together with representatives
J of the student body and the ex-stu-
| dents. Saturday the 16th will prob-
I ably attract the greatest attention
, since the features of this day are the
! formal inauguration of the president
and the football game between A. and
M. and the University of New Mexico.
A complete program of the cele
bration has been drawn up but at
present this program is more or less
tentative hence THE BATTALION
will withhold publication until a
later date.
