WARNING! ! !
I’ve taken my school as I found it;
I’ve worked and I’ve loafed in my day
I’ve mixed with the students and
teachers,
And studied—alas, the wrong way!
Once I was flunked in my history-—
That was a few years ago;
Last week they tripped me in Spanish
So I speak of that which I know.
Now I aren’t no hand with professors
For, taking them all along,
You never can tell till you’ve tried
them
And then you are like to be wrong—
There’s times when you think that
they’ll flunk you.
And times when you’re sure that they
won’t;
But the times that they “won’t,” they
always will.
And the times that they “do,” they
don’t.
«
I’ve taken my school as I found it,
And now I must pay for that sin;
For the more that you try to broader.
The more will your studies hem in—
And the end of it’s cribbing and cram
ming,
And failing to get your degree;
So be warned by my lot, (which I
know you will not)
And learn about college from me!

AGGIES TO ENTER ;
KANSAS RELAYS
Dash Relay Team Will Go To Law
rence, Kan., April 18.
Preparations are being made by the
Athletic Department to send repre
sentatives from A. & M. to the Third
Annual University of Kansas relay
games that will be held in Lawrence,
Kansas, on April 18. At the present
time, the department is planning on
sending the dash relay team consist
ing of four men and if arrangements
can be made, four more men will be
entered.
The Kansas relays give promise of
being greater than ever this year and
all of the contesting teams of last
year expressed their intentions of en
tering. In the games last year,
eighteen new meet records were es
tablished and some of them were of
such class that they may remain safe
for several years.
The referee for the Kansas relays
this year is Knute Rockne, the famous
coach of Norte Dame University. The
starter will be John C. Grover of Kan
sas City, widely known Missouri Val
ley sports official who also started the
relays laat year.

Thirty members of the Kream and
Kow Klub met with the instructors
of the Dairy Husbandry Department
Thursday night, March 19, on the
third floor of the C. E. building to
formally dedicate their new club room
there. In addition to the regular per
sonnel of the club there were present
as guests several sophomores who in
tend to specialize in D. H.
The club room, a spacious room on
the top floor of the C. E. building, :
was presented to the club through the |
thoughtfulness of the instructors of!
the Dairy Husbandry Department.!
This gift is in line with the policy of |
the department, which has always en- ■
joyed the reputation of cooperating':
very closely with its students.
Refreshments of ice cream and!
cake were served and short talks were j
made by the instructors and by sev- j
eral of the cadets. Professor Darnell
in presenting the room to the club,
traced the history of the growth of
the department from its infancy to its
present size. He discussed the value
of the students’ club and the advisa
bility of it becoming a member of the
national association.
John F. Grace, president of the
club, responded and thanked the de
partment for its gift. He was follow
ed by Dr. Grout, who after outlining
the value of a course in D. H., pre
sented the club with a gavel that was
made by the students of the Deluth,
Min., high school and which was given
to him by the Commercial Club of
that city in recognition of his services
to the Dairy Association.
W. B. Orr made a short talk in
which he enumerated the advantages
of trying out for the Dairy Hus
bandry teams. He urged the mem
bers of the victorious junior team to
carry on and called on the ones who
failed to make the team this year to
redouble their efforts in the future.
The necessity of having cooperation
among the dairy farmers was the
theme of Professor Clutter’s discus
sion, after which the meeting came to
an end .
I Love Her.
She Smokes,
She paints,
She powders,
She reads ‘La Vie Parisene,’
She drinks my liquor,
She stays out all night,
She cusses, too,
She eats lobsters at midnight,
She does lots of things she ought
not to,
But she’s my grandma and I love
her.—Witt.
Adieu.
And if my love could hold you
One flaming moment more.
My empty arms enfold you
As they were wont of yore.
Still darling, uncomplaining,.
I’d bow in this to you.
Nor hint at your remaining—
I, too, my dear, am through.
