    THE BATTALION
’T CLUB DANCES
TO BE GIVEN ON
MARCH SIXTH
The long expected “T” Club Dance
has been announced at last for the
sixth of March and from all plans
made public, the dance bids fair to
rival any of the year. It is an advent
in the social life of our college that
is always of importance, because it
is the one function of the year at
which the athlete reigns supreme.
Conditions are such that the dance
must be made an exclusive affair so
that only a limited number of guests
are invited.
There will not be anything left un
done to make the “T” Dance a suc
cessful affair. To begin with, the mu
sic is going to be of the best, for
Eddie’s Syncopators of Houston have
already been engaged. This departs
from the precedent of haying the Ag-
gieland play but this may be account
ed for by the fact that the members of
that orchestra like to enjoy a dance
themselves a few times each year.
The syncopators will also play for the
Corps Dance that will follow the “T”
Dance on Saturday night.
Our campus will again be graced
with some of the fairest Texas mai
dens. What “T” man could resist hav
ing his girl down for that affair, es
pecially when there is a Corps Dance
to follow up ?
The committees who have worked
hard the last few weeks to make the
dance as it should be are: Arrange
ment—Sid Kyle and A. M. Puckett;
Decorations—Archie Damon, Charlie
Waugh and Clem Davis; Floor— J.
N. Allison and Norman Dansby; Mu-
siic—H. L. Rogers. The names of
these men are sufficient guarantee as
to the quality of the “T” Dance.

CORPS DANCE LAST SATURDAY.
The census of opinion has been in
the past, that without Aggieland a
corps dance could not be.held. It is a
decided fact that Aggieland is good,
in fact so good that they cannot al
ways be here when wanted and be
cause of this the Collegians were dis
covered by the party goers last Sat
urday night.
To many the Collegians were un
heard of, but last Saturday night that
orchestra furnished good music for a
very good dance. The dance was held
in the Annex as usual and everyone
felt at home and had an enjoyable
evening.
There were many visitors at the
dance which helped to make the eve
ning unusual for several and especial
ly Pat Arnin who missed the “Mardi
Gra” to be with HER Friday and Sat
urday.
The visitors were —Miss Sarah
Virginia Covert from Ft. Worth, Miss
Gertrude Sims and her visitors, Miss
es Flora Holman, Elizabeth Baker, ahd
Margaret Duncan, who are attending
the University at Austin. Miss “Pea
ches” Robinson, from Springfield, 111.,
who is visiting her brother at Well
born.
Lieutenant Rankin seems to be re
covering slowly from his case of des
pondency developed after the archi
tect’s dance. There is some hope held
out for his recovery.
