TO ENLIST LOCAL
TEACHERS IN THE
STATE ASSOCIATION
Fort Worth, Texas, Feb. 2.—Brazos
County is expected to enlist a large
number of the 1000 members of the
Texas State Teachers Association
which the Sixth Congressional Dis
trict plans to enroll this year. Mrs.
Maggie Barry of College Station is
the member of the state executive
committee from that district and is
in charge of the enlistment campaign.
She is now outlining plans for her
program and will have announcements
to make within the next few days.
D. J. McDonald, Superintendent of
the Brazos County schools, and the
city superintendent will direct the
enlistment of the local teachers.
The year 1925 is expected to be the
greatest in the history of the Asso
ciation. Lee Clark of Gainesville is
president this year.
