Say Bo,
Did’ja show SAINTED TENDEN
CIES from earliest childhood?
When YOU and YOUR BROTHER
Were sick with CHILLS,
Did’ja let him take
BOTH DOSES OF CASTOR OIL
Giving him a DOUBLE CHANCE
Of quick recovery?
In the cold bleak winter-time
Did’ja wade far out into the lake
And build SMALL' RAFTS
So that the LITTLE DUCKS
Would have suitable places
To land without WETTING THEIR
FEET. As you reached the tender
age of Adolescence
Didja join the BOY SCOUTS
And pledge yourself to
“DO A GOOD TURN DAILY”
Even if it were merely
To reach out, cut off the ALARM
CLOCK and turn over in bed?
Did’ja play THREE-EIGHTS BACK
On the high school FOOTBALL
TEAM playing in BETWEEN the
QUARTER-BACK and the HALF
BACK?
Always ready to help either
In case of dire necessity;
Didja become a seni. r
In the ANESTHETIC and
MORPHEOUS COLLEGE and coul’ja
Attribute all your great success
To thoughtfulness of others ?
Did you perceive a DRASTIC
THING—that many were looking
THIN
And thoroughly emaciated
Didja jump into the breach
With characteristic thoughfulness
By carrying an AUTO PUMP
With which to PUMP UP
FLAT GIRLS!!

A fool there was and he studied late,
Even as you and I,
And all he did was procrastinate,
Even as you and I.
He left his work to meet its fate,
Until Exams made him hesitate,
The highest he got was 68,
Even as you and I.
A fool there was and he studied late.
Maybe as you, not I;
He’d never loaf or dissipate,
Maybe as you, not I;
His Prof he tried to imitate.
Alibis he’d never relate.
The lowest he got was 98.
It might have been you, not I.

^THE co-ordination of commercial strength, arch-
itectural vision and engineering skill which
created this titanic quadruple office building repre
sents the motive and creative force which has turned
the eyes of the world toward this type of American
architecture.
This, the largest office building in the world, pos
sesses fundamentally magnificent largeness in its
conception, and a clean-cut directness in its execu
tion which place it among the most significant of
American buildings.
With such existing structural achievements no arch
itectural future is impossible, no project too vast
or too complex to come readily to our imagination.
Certainly modern invention—modern engineering
skill and organization, will prove more than equal
to the demands of the architecture of the future.
