The plans for the annual Thanksgiv
ing Hop have been completed and all
is in readiness for the flood of local
and important talent that is expected
to grace the polished floor of Sbisa
next Friday and Saturday nights.
Jack Gardner and his congregation
are waiting to enchant the dancers
with their syncopated strains; the
floor is being prepared in the usual
way that is said to have originated
at Aggieland; all the various details,
such as the midnight lunch, have
been attended to. Not satisfied with
near perfection, Social Secretary
Harry Duckett, is tearing his well ar
ranged locks in a frantic effort to
outdo all previous Thanksgiving Hops
in point of brilliance and gaiety.
Louie Miller, crutches and all, will
lead the grand march. The valiant
Aggie leader has been heard to say
that nothing short of death will pre
vent him from being the “life of the
party.”
The members of the committee in
charge of the Hop are “Dime” Dealy,
L. Dodson, “Vic” LeMay, “Zoo” Park,
Cox, A. I. Richardson, and Har
ry Duckett. • The zeal shown by the
individuals of this group in planning
and arranging this dance would bring
a smile of approval from the sternest
member of the faculty.
One item is causing the committee
no end of worry and gray hairs—the
task of prying that elusive fifty cents
from the cadets. It would seem that
collecting the tax from the students
would be the easiest part of staging
the Hop, for the small sum wanted en
tails such an insignificant sacrifice on
the part of the donor as compared
with the ones made by the members
of the football team. Even if the con
tribution asked for should be num
bered in dollars instead of cents, the
cadets should be glad of the oppor
tunity of repaying, in some small
measure, the team for the glory and
honor it has brought to A. and M.
The first dance will begin at nine
o’clock Friday night and will continue
until twelve. After the intermission,
dancing will be resumed and will
last until two-thirty. The second
dance will start at nine Saturday and
will continue until twelve.

Dodson: Yeh, but all girls that
wear filmy dresses are not film stars.

GRADUATE CLUB ELECTS
OFFICERS AND OUTLINES
PROGRAM FOR THE YEAR
The graduate students at A. and M
recently organized and formed the
GRADUATE CLUB. The members
include both graduates of A. and M.
and of other institutions who are tak
ing post-graduate work at this col
lege.
A meeting was held on November
13, and a constitution and by-laws
were adopted. E. V. Spence was
elected president of the club and N.
W. Jones, vice-president. It was de
cided to have two meetings a month—
one business and the other social. The
meetings are to be held in the Y. M
C A.
The club was organized to foster
a closer association between the men
who have enrolled in the graduate
school and to promote a friendlier
feeling and interest among the stu
dents. It is hoped that the club will
be a permanent institution and that;
the social meetings of the club will
help to bring the various men closer
together.
