    THE BATTALION
A. H. JUNIORS
PLAN GREATEST
RODEO OF YEARS
Twenty Nations to be Represented
By Beautiful Girls At Bril
liant Pageant.
The men in charge of the Rodeo
are working daily to make every fea
ture of the program interesting and
distinctive. The pageant which opens
the events of the evening is to be a
representation of a World Court.
Twenty nations will be represented,
and the pageant should be gay indeed
with the colors which represent the
various countries. Such a pageant
will be particularly appropriate, too,
because the day following is Armis
tice Day. The business manager of
the Rodeo is now working on plans
by which the seating capactiy of the
A. H. Paviolion may be enlarged.
The Rodeo is to consist of twelve
ain features, each of them an en-
ertainment in itself. The wild cow
liking contest will appeal to the
savage and humorous instincts.
Teams of two men will take part in
this contest between brute force and
human cunning. One man will snub
the cow—in other words, entice the
when knights smote one another with
swords and bludgeons.
The five-gaited riding class will ap
peal to those who love to see a grace
ful horse put through his paces. On
the other hand, the “broncho bust
ing” will adequately satisfy those
whose likes tend toward rougher
things. Ed Crenshaw, the man who
furnished the steers and bronchos
used last year, has consented to let
his professional string of bronchos
exhibit their untameable nature. The
steers which will be ridden are wilder
than ever. All the other acts are on
a par with these features, and all in
dications point toward a rodeo that
will rival the famous annual Chey
enne Rodeo.
Dedicated.
Half a buck, half a buck,
Half a buck higher.

Gawd help the buyer!
“Charge like the Light Brigade!
Soak ’em by gosh,” he said.
Squeeze out their last cent
For the books they require.
“Charge like the Light Brigade!”
Was there a stude dismayed?
Ask them who cussed and payed
What were the words they spoke.
Theirs not to reason why
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs but to flunk or buy
And face the world dead broke.

the other man will milk the shackled
cow. Some of the cows will prob
ably be more than a match for two
men. The A. H. seniors will en
deavor to show up the instructors in
a potatot race. Last year the potato
race turned into a mounted battle
symbolic of the days of King Arthur
—Evergreen.
A man of considerable wt.
Once tried to hop on a frt.
But he fell on his neck
And piled up a wreck—
A feat we should not imitt.
