It would be a very difficult task to
pick out the stars for the Aggies,
for the whole team was right. Both
sides of the line was like a stone wall
on defense as is very evident by the
fact that the visitors were able to
make only two first downs during
the whole game.
The Tiger’s fast backfield never got
a chance. It was seldom that they
ever got so far as the line of scrim

up best for the visitors, with Phillips

THE DOPE BUCKET.

Coach Bridges of Baylor says that
the spirit of Baylor is the strongest
in the conference this year. Any
body that didn’t know anything about
it might believe him. He ought to
crawl out of his hole where he has
been hibernating with the rest of his
cubs and look around a little. A few
things that he would see might change
his mind.

The second step on that thousand
mile stroll wasn’t as hard as we ex
pected but don’t for a minute think
that the rest of them will be near as
easy. The fact is, every game we
play the rest of the season will be
with schools that have been our ath
letic enemies since time began. Every
one of them always play their best
game of the season against us; and
this year will be no exception.

The Aggie Offensive shows that the
punting average of Mitt Dansby is
only 22 yards. It will be remembered
that these punts were intended to be
short ones, aimed to go out of bounds
on the opponent’s five or ten-yard
line, which they did.

A large number of fish have ans
wered the call for football men.
Every Fish participated in the scrim
mage last Saturday, and each one
showed that he had the willingness
to learn and the determination to
fight. Coach Anderson has a huge
been asleep this year. That game is
going to be a fight men, and it will
take lots of that “old stuff” to win.
So get right.
PROGRAM OF THE DEPT.
OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION
(Continued from Page 8)
asked to keep this in mind and be
lenient with the department if these
activities do not begin to function as
rapidly as they have expected.
“Fish” drill will be handled cojoint-
ly by the Department of Military
Science and the Departmet of Phys
ical Education. This change is being
made in order that the entire physi
cal training program of “Fish Drill,”
Intramural Activities, and Intercol
legiate Athletics may become uni
fied and thus each phase and func
tion to the advantage of the other.
In this way when a freshman has
shown a certain amount of profi
ciency in “Fish Drill” as determined
by certain tests he will then be ex
cused to engage in the intramural
activity of his choice.
The first semester will not be mark
ed by any sweeping changes but with
the completion of the Gymnasium the
students may look forward to a pro
gram which it is hoped will justify
their expectancy and also give a fair
indication of what is in store for them
in the future.
The Department of Physical Edu
cation therefore hopes that the stu
dents will extend to the Department
their good will and cooperation which
the Department will try to merit by
offering, as soon as possible, a pro
gram of physical training which will
meet the students exercise and re
creational needs to the fullest possi
ble extent.
