AGRICULTURAL ADMINISTRA
TION SOCIETY HAS AN
INSTRUCTIVE PROGRAM
A short but very instructive meet
ing was held by the Agricultural Ad
ministration Society last Friday eve
ning in the assembly room of the Ag
ricultural building. The subject of
commercial letters was discussed and
were taken up from several different
view points.
Jack Hays talked on commercial
letters in a general way telling of
their correct form and the importance
of this in the business world.
J. B. Mertzen’s talk was directed to
the proper forms of sales letters. He
told of their effectiveness if written
in the right manner and gave sev
eral examples of good sales letters.
L. W. Stasney gave an interesting
discussion of letters of correction.
He showed the importance of both
tact and form in writing a letter of
this kind and pointed out the things
that should be avoided.
A letter of application was the final
form to be taken up and a very in
structive talk was made on this by
Steve Noble. This was something that
most college graduates are concern
ed with and he told how a practical
letter of application should be written.
The meeting was then adjourned so
the members could attend “The Bat.’,’
