And charge that cavernous mug
To full capacity; hoping thereby
To gain both fame and elegability?
And as the molars rose and fell
In regular and rythmic crushing
Motion, did the volume of the
Specimen increase, and did the
Cheeks extend to the elastic
Limit And did the pleasure pall
And ere you had the time to effect
The export of that mighty cargo.
Did reason abdicate, and did the
Sun, moon and tars look on in
Fiendish glee? And did that
Gyroscopic bean seek out the
Bed, and there with one gigantic
And equeous gurgle, seek kind
Relief in heavy and unconscious
Stupor? And on awaking, didja
Realize with deep regret that
Another shot had missed its mark,
And that you were doomed to Med
iocrity?

RESOLUTIONS OF THE SENIOR
CLASS ON THE DEATH OF MR.
J. S. DAWSON.
We, the members of the Senior
Class do here submit the following
resolutions on the death of Mr. J. S.
Dawson, the father of our friend and
classmate, S. B. Dawson.
Whereas, in His infinite wisdom it
has seemed just that God call unto
Him the father of our beloved class
mate, S. B. Dawson;
Therefore, be it resolved that the
members of the Junior Class extend
their deepest sympathy and condol
ence to the family of S. B. Dawson.
Also, be it resolved, that a copy of
these resolutions be sent to his fam
ily, and a copy be furnished the Bat
talion, The Daily Bulletin, and the
publication of his home city, Vega.

Much interest is being manifested
in*the coming Student Volunteer Con
vention at Austin. The South Texas
Union will hold its annual meeting
Jan. 25-27. Robt Wilder, founder of
the movement, is to be the main
speaker on the program. A. and M.
is allowed about ten delegates besides
the volunteers. This convention will
be an echo of the Indianapolis con
vention and promises to be very in
spirational. Students interested
should get in touch with C. B. Potts,
the “Y” Secretaries, or some mem
ber of the “Y” Cabinet for further in
formation. Many will remember the
splendid conference held at South
western University last year. Let’s
make the Aggie spirit supreme in
every field. *

Fifteen subscriptions to the Inter
collegian were ordered by the “Y”
Cabinet.

At a regular meeting of the “Y”
Cabinet last Wednesday the members
discussed the program of work for the
second term. Further plans were
made for a privilege card campaign.
Plans are being made to stimulate
further interest in rural church work.

While in Dallas Rev. Matthews
ordered a new screen for the picture
show. With the two new machines
excellent shows are in store for the
students. The best possible pictures
will be secured.
