DELEGATES ARE NAMED
FOR B.S.U. CONVENTION
(Continued from Page 1)
to Baylor College at Belton and after
their three days stay brought back
a renewed enthusiasm for their work
in Aggleland. The past year thirty-
three Baptist students at College can
remember the delightful and inspir
ing moments spent at Denton and
partaking of the hospitality of the
College of Industrial Arts and the
Denton Normal.
Special railroad rates have been
arranged and the A. and M. delegation
will be joined to many others at Dal
las on a special train that shall run
to the western city. The Simmons
College delegation have promised free
entertainment and the entire city of
Abilene has extended a cordial invi
tation.
Outside of the wonderful fellowship
and inspiration from contacts the con
vention has always been featured by
a long list of nationally known relig
ious leaders. Dr. George W. Truett,
who it will be remembered brought
such a blessing to College last year,
will be the opening speaker. Dr. Lee
Scarbrough, the president of the Tex
as Baptist Seminary, will preach the
sermon that comes as a climax to
the numerous other speakers. Every
possible phase of religious activity
is represented in its relation to col
lege life and in its relation to college
students and their affairs. Through
the three days a program continuous
and without a drag has been arranged.
Texas A. and M. in its proportion
to Baptist students enrolled in the
College has always been the best rep
resented school in attendance. This
year Rev. R. L. Brown and Mrs. Brown
with a representation of about twenty-
six students will attend the Simmons
feast. The list of prospective at
tendants is as follows:
Rev. and Mrs. R. L. Brown, J. A.
Albritton, M. W. Carleton, R. E.
Skrabanek, R. F. Royal, J. L. How
ard, H. R. Allen, J. A. Bell, W. D.

“LITTLE JOHNNY JONES”
ROMANCE OF THE TURF
Beauty and the Beast clash to
gether with dramatic effect in “Little
Johnny Jones,” the George M. Cohan
stage success starring Johnny Hines,
to be seen in the photoplay version
for two days beginning Friday at the
Queen Theatre.
The “Beauty” takes the form of
a charming little English girl who
decides to forget her blue blood and
tradition because of her love for
Johnny Jones, the American jockey;
md the “Beast” is a professional
gambler of shady past, who tries to
put stumbling blocks and dangers in
the path of the young Yankee lad so
:hat he m'ght win the girl h'mself.
It is a romance of the turf, the
tory of Johnny Jones, the Yankee
jockey, who is scheduled to win the
English Derby. It is a hundred times
better than “Burn ’Em Up Barnes”
or the Hottentot. Next week Strang
ers of the Night or (Capt. Apple
jack), also “Ruggles of Red Gap.”-
