Although among the steers there are no outstanding individuals like those sent last year to Kansas City or Chicago, yet the steer herd on the whole is the most uniform in type and quality that has ever gone out from the College. Every animal of each breed has sufficient finish to stand up well in his class among steers. William Sim, veteran herdsman of the College, Owen Garrigan, and H. Tickle, student, went as caretakers and asistants to Profesors Williams and Buchanan. Forty-five Seniors and Juniors will leave here Friday night under the supervision of Professor Stangle to take part in judging the types and breeds of livestock at the State Fair.
