Tuttle, Assistant Professor of Military Science and Tactics, has been notified by the War Department that his status has ceased as a temporary ofificer and that he is now a Captain in the regular estab lishment. This information probably means that Captain Tuttle will remain at this institution in his present capacity which will be welcome news to the cadets, especially those in the Infantry branch. Captain Tuttle is a favorite officer among the students and he probably knows more cadets by name than any other one man connected with the Coliege. He seems to have every man ac curately placed in his mind, knowing his complete college history, faults and good characteristics. With his fund of information he naturally at tracts the friendship of cadets and their respect for him is the very high est. Captain Tuttle has been heard to say that he desires to remain on this assignment for at least sufficient time to see the class of ’22, which he taught last year, graduate. Instinctive Action.
