A word to the wise is sufficient.
Will the student body kindly pass the
cigars to get the old drag and that old
marginal pass in the various courses ?
Little Girl: “Dad, where do all the
bad little girls go?”
Father: “Down to the depot to see
the traveling men come in.”
Rural Romance.
We stood at the gate as the sun went
down
Behind the hill at the close of day
Her look was pensive; her eyes were
brown;
Her breath was sweet as the new
mown hay.
Far out of the west the last sunshine
Fell lightly on her golden hair;
Her tender eyes looked straight into
mine,
And there was a look of perfect
trust there.
I see her enclosed in the sunlight
flood,
I see her peacefully standing now;
Peacefully standing and chewing her
cud.
As I rubbed her ears; that Jersey
cow.
