Good Things In Store for the Readers
of the CoMege Weekly.
This year the Battalion will endeaver
to secure for its readers a thing which
has never been given to them before—
a history of this college. This college
history will not be a dry recital of
political happenings—far from it! —
but it will be filled with interestng
traditions, accounts of celebrated foot
ball games, football heroes and others
once prominent in college life, and
accounts of stirring events. It will be
brimful of ginger and “pep” from be
ginning to end.
Column write-ups on “Who’s Whb at
A. and M.” will be one of our leading
features. . These write-ups will tell
some of the interesting things to be
known about the “great and near-
great” among the students of this col
lege, and will be illustrated by photo
graphs or original drawings. These
articles will appear once or twice a
month.
It will be our endeavor to have
many personals in each week’s issue
as possible. Not only will these per
sonals be about cadets and their doings
here on the campus and in Bryan but
a considerable part of them will con
cern our alumni and instructors
COLLEGE PRESS SERVICE.
T. C. U., Sept. 4—The student
body of the Texas Christian Univer
sity has petitioned the factulty of the
university to grant them student self-
government. A tentative constitution,
creating a Student Council with the
power to try all cases of cheating and
stealing within the bounds of the cam
pus, has been drawn up, and as soon
as it is ratified by the student body
and the faculty, will go into effect.
There is no doubt that it will not pass
for the faculty favor the honor system
and the students want it.
