course of chicken salad, sandwiches
and coffee was served, accompanied
by gay conversation, apt repartee,
laughter and beautiful music, both
piano and vocal. It was not till the
lights “winked” that the guests real
ized the lateness of the hour and re
luctantly took leave of this most hos
pitable home and the cordial hosts
and hostesses of the occasion. The
guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paddock,
Mr. and Mrs. Wooten, Mr. and Mrs.
Richie, Mrs. Templeton, Miss O’Neill,
Mrs. Hawkins, Miss Eeho and Miss
Milner, and Messrs. McMillan, Leh
man, Thornton, and Carpenter.

On Monday evening Mrs. Ehlinger
gave a very pleasant card party in
honor of her visitor, Mrs. Culmore.
The guests, who were Mr. and Mrs.

Gofer, after playing several games of
bridge were served a delicious peach
whip with fruit cake. Dr. and Mrs.
Ehlinger were assisted in dispensing
their gracious hospitality by Mrs.
Boggs and the charming honor guest,
who contributed largely to the pleas
ure of the evening by giving several
readings with her usual skill and
grace.

Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Spence enter
tained a gay house party for the
Thanksgiving festivities, consisting of
Misses Lallie Lammus, Blanche Lee
and Virginia Spence, who was home
from Milford, and Mrs. Metcalfe of
San Angelo.

card party Tuesday evening. In the
