Wrangling Re-enter—Will Not
Come Here.
After all the fighting and quarrel
ing between the senior class of Mis
sissippi A. and M. and the faculty,
peace has at last been secured and
the seniors have been reinstated. The
cause of the seniors’ troubles was that
which causes so much of other men’s
troubles—girls. The Mississippi A.
and M. has a few co-eds, and it seems
that the seniors had been in the
habit of meeting their fair sisters in
the classrooms after class hours and
having a jovial good time. The fac
ulty objected and the row was on.
The faculty refused to give in and the
senior class struck. They became so
violent that the president threatened
to have them all arrested. Then the
underclassmen took up the quarrel
and very nearly all left, although the
president threatened to have any un
derclassman arrested who left with
out permission from home.
The seniors applied to Dr. Morgan
of this place to know if they could
come here and finish, and they were
told if they were provided with an
honorable discharge they could enter
this college. However, it is more sab
isfactory to all parties concerned that
an amipable settlement has been ef
fected and the seniors will return and
graduate at Mississippi A. and M.
