ANOTHER IMPROVEMENT.
Among the new improvements on
tie campus, and an improvement that
has for its purpose accommodation for
the cadets of the college, is a two-
story frame business house which is
being erected between the Shirley
Hotel and the residence of the Presi-
j dent.
' At a recent meeting of the Board of
j Directors of the college permission
j was granted to W. A. Leigh, Jr., and
i O. E. Saunders to establish a refresh-
' ment parlor on the campus, where re-
j freshments of all kinds will be sold.
I Mr. Leigh has been chief clerk in the
' office of the professor of agriculture
| for a couple of years and Mr. Saun-
j ders lives in Bryan, and is one of the

[welcoming them as business men ca-

| members of the corps. The building
! they are erecting will be an attractive

THE GIRL IN RED AND WHITE.
In this world of toil and trouble
There are some things always
bright,
Which in direful circumstances
Are delicious to the sight.
But where in all creation
Is a vision of delight,
A superb combination,
Like the Girl in Red and White?
Look upon the field of conflict!
Look behind the footlights’ glare!
In that same becoming costume,
Those same ribbons in her hair.
That same glorious decoration
Any place that it will w'ear.
One fleet glance is confirmation.
She, in Red and White, is there!
Other colors shine forth brililant
At the noon of Victory’s sun;
But what about the evening
When the other fellows’ won?
She is there! For us forever!
Win or lose, it matters not,
The Girl in White and Crimson
Will be “Johnny-on-the-Spot!”
it to be an unusually enjoyable one.
I The new rule of the Seniors was
strictly enforced and the dance was’
i distinctively Senior. The success of
the dance was due to the proficiency
of Jack Figh, its president. Excep
tionally good music was furnished and .
the floor was in fine condition. Purple 1
and pearl-gray pennants were used in j
the wall decorations.
Mr. Figh and Miss Frances Davis j
led the grand march. The followins- ,
