Our baseball team this season is not as strong as it was last year. Many of the fellows played company ball last year while others are getting ■ their first taste of college ball. Of course these fellows will find college baseball different from the other kinds and will probably become discouraged if everything does not start off right from the first. Then’s the time for the men on the bleachers to open up with redoubled vigor. They can cheer the team on to victory in the very face of defeat. Systematic rooting is one of the most important factors to be reckoned with a victory. Follow the old football yell leaders: show the members of the team that you have confidence in them. There is another way in which ev ery man can support the team and that is by buying a season ticket. A large crowd at a ball game helps the players immensely. No man wants to make a poor showing before his fel low classmates. He will put his best foot forward and do the best work he is capable of putting out. Aside from the direct help to the players the finances of the team will be strength ened if every man buys a ticket for all the games. The price $2.00 for ten games is as reasonable as one could desire and each fellow should have a ticket even though he may have to check up in other lines and go without somethings he would like to have. * Buy a season ticket, go to the games and—ROOT. “Other papers all remind us We can make our own sublime, If our fellow school-mates send us Contributions all the time. Ahrenbecjh Addresses Associa tion— Elefetinfi. of Officers. Mr. Ahrenbech made quite a spirit ed address to a large number of cad ets in the chapel Sunday nigbt|.. He spoke of office-seekers in the national governments and of the office-seekers in the divine kingdom. James and John asked Jesus Christ for the high est position at His disposal but now a-days the office in the divine king dom must, as a rule go begging. He made mention of what we owe Christ as our savior, and that we ought, by serving Him in some way, to try to repay Him in a small meas ure for what he has done for us. He spoke of the character of Christ—t^t »• He was not a dejected, sorrowing, de- 1 spairing, but always a hopeful ener getic, loving personality,’even amidst the bitterest strife and trials. After the address the officers for the ensuing year were elected. Those elected were: Weinert, president; Symes, vice-president; Ward, Secre tary-treasurer; Cunningham, chair man of Bible Study committee; Sigel, chairman of Religious Meetings com mittee; Brannin, chairman of Member ship committee; Miller, R. F., chair man of Reception committee; Mun son, H. W., chairman of Finance com mittee. 4 , 4 , 4 , 4»4'4»4»4»4'4»4»4«4»4»4»4«4»4«4»4»4°4»»|» , |»4«4»fr4«4«4»4»4»4»4»4 > 4‘4 i| 4'4 , 4*4 > 4 , 4 , 4 > 4 a 4«4 > 4 | 4 , 4 , 4 > 4 , j|[ ^4 ( 4 , 4 i 4 | 4 > 4 , 4^4 > 4 i 4 , 4^4 ( 4 | 4 , 4 | 4 , 4>4 > 4 a 4 > 4 , 4 , 4 , >H*4'4 , 4 a 4 g 4 , 4 | 4 | 4 > 4 , 4 > 4'4 , 4 | 4'4 M l , 4 > 4 > 4'4 > 4 > 4 , 4 , 4^ I Remember Us For Your I BARRINTON HALL. On Saturday evening, March 21, a company composed of young people of Bryan presented Barrington Hall to a very appreciative audience. The same company had played at Bryan and at Navasota but at neither place did they receive a warmer reception than they did here. The applause was very generous and after the play was over nothing but words of praise and satisfaction was heard on every side. Much credit is due the members of the party for the excellent work they did in spite of the limited stage accommodations. Mr. M. S. Black burn, who got up the play and coached the members is to be con gratulated on the success of his un dertaking. Between acts Mrs. Webb Howell and Mrs. W. C. Davis of Bryan each rendered several beautiful vocal se lections. The Imperial Brass Quar tette and the College band also en tertained the audience between cur tains. The proceeds of the entertain ment outside of expenses went to the Long Horn. UHIF : TMS .
