for it was hid first attempt, and he

were about twenty couples at the -
dance,.and every one seemed in hu
mor toienjoy khe night. -The hours
were so filled up with pleasure that
everyone thought the time had passed
too soon when the musicians began j
to pbty, “Home Sweet Home."
Every one departfd for their homes
at the dead hour of ni^ht praising the

congress on the last day of the

best of onr knowledge the increase
was to $5,000 per year, each
year, until the total of $50,000 was

Mass., works of the General Elec
tric Co., in reply to a letter written
from here. The letter contained
