musicals are indeed a fine thing
for the students. The whole course
is of the highest standard intellec
tually and morally speaking and the
cadet who misses attending them,
loses an advantage that is of untold
value. The rates are within the reach of all.
It is earnestly desired that every person on
the campus purchase the season ticket. The
first entertainment of the season will take
place in Assembly hall Friday evening,
October 17th.

The Y. M. C. A. boys are at work sell
ing season tickets for the Lyceum enter
tainments. The course is an unusually
good one this year, and every cadet should
avail himself of the opportunity to attend
such entertainments. Isolated socially and

Last year there was considerable mention
made in the Battalion of the lack of “col
lege spirit” among the students. It seems
that this year we will not have our space
filled continually with the discussion of that
topic, for there appears to be a marked
manifestation of this “college spirit.”
There is a jolly good fellowship among
the cadets; everyone seems to be satisfied,
and everyone is taking a pride in our col
lege affairs. These are the only ways in
which true college spirit is fostered and
developed. We have great confidence in
the football team and they in return have
confidence in the corps. If we are to have
a good team they must have our support.
Those yells which we practice every even
ing indicate that enthusiasm is running
high. Keep it up. Let our enthusiasm
