We are very glad to see so many of the boys re turn and take up their work with a determination and energy that speaks success. We also heartily welcome the new boys that have entered our school, and; wish them success in their work and life. Boys, your school days are the ones for you to prepare for life in, so don’t let them pass by unheeded. Put in your time working hard. You will never regret it in your old age, and you cannot expect to make life a success unless you take advantage of every opportunity to better yourself. £ £ Show your love for your college and support athletics by joining the Ath letic Association. Give a check against the remainder of your trust fund and be enrolled as a member and given free admission to all home games next session. * 4 Field Day and Baseball sports are coming on. We hope to see the boys take a great interests'in both. Boys, I want you to beat all the records that were made last year on Field Day, and the way for you to do that is to train hard and steady. Let us work to gether and make the best records in the State this year. We can do this, for we have got the best men; that is, we have the material, that can be de veloped into the best men. * £ One thing that is lacking in our school is college spirit, and we are glad to see this gradually growing, and hope that before many years have passed to see. it at a great height. We have as good material here as any college in the State, and what we want now is to create a spirit that
