Hilde- brandt to the students of the graduating class in the Agri-cultural and Horticultural Courses and their al lied branches at the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, under the following conditions. 1st. The subject to be competed in to be the greatest originality in thesis. 2d. The student may select his own subject for his thesis. 3d. The theses should first be sub mitted to the proper authority for ac ceptation. 4th. The theses entered for competi tion, shall, when accepted by the Col lege authorities, be submitted to Dr. A. C. True, Director Experiment Stations, Washington, D. C., who will select three judges who shall decide upon the successful competitor. The judges shall also have the right to declare the competiton void, if, in their judgment, none of the theses pos sess the elements worthy of special rec ognition. (Signed) A. M. HILDEBRANDT, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. A. M. Hildebrandt graduated in 1896 as one of the honor men of his class, First Lieutenant, staff; in 1898 he received his M. S. degree, having made Horticulture his major study. Since leavng College he has been con nected with The Farmer and Stock- man, of San Antonio, as the Horticul tural Editor.
