Died.—In Waco, Texas, November 15th, after seven
weeks’ illness, Geo. L. Brazelton, in the seven
teenth year of his age.
On Sept. 30th, after returning from a days’ hunt,
Geo. Brazelton was taken sick with pneumonia,
and for nearly three weeks he struggled with dis
ease like one fighting for his life. He was success
ful, and recovered his health and strength sufficient
ly to go home with his parents to Waco from the
College. A few days after his return to his home,
he was stricken down with a relapse, from which he
never recovered.
George Brazelton was a young man of marked
characteristics. He was generous to a fault, open-
hearted, and had that innate love for his friends that
made him popular. He was studious and attentive
to his duties, as the record of his last years’ cadet
ship shows. Coming back to College with a zeal
animated by his advancement to a higher class, he
was maintaining his record for good scholarship
when overtaken by the dread disease which ended
his life; therefore be it
Resolved, In the death of George L. Brazelton,
the 3d class lost one of its most prominent members,
and the A. and M. College one of her most stu
dious, upright and honorable cadets.
Resolved, That we tender to his family our most
sincere sympathy in their hour of sorrow and sad
ness.
Resolved, That a copy of this preamble and reso
lutions be forwarded to his parents.
