HE BATTALION is now in
the hands of inexperienced
journalists, but we shall try to
make our college paper one of in
terest to all and beneficial to our
college. It is our purpose to set
forth our college as it really is
and let every one know what the
grand old A. and M. is doing.
We heartily solicit the help of the
student body in doing this and
hope they will contribute liberally
to the pages of this paper.
¥ ¥
We are glad to note that the
boys are getting more orderly both
in Barracks and in Mess Hall.
We also watch with eager eyes
the improvement that is being
made in drill.
¥ ¥
We wish to call the attention of
the Cadets to the fact that the
leading business houses of Bryan
are those which advertise in our
college paper. We heartily so
licit Cadets to trade with these
houses and also with the business
men of other cities who advertise
with us.
¥ ¥
We are glad to say our college
opened with something near four
hundred of the brightest boys in
the state, and we look forward to
a year that shall add another
crown of gold to the A. and M.
of Texas. Never has such splen
did progress been made by the
students in such a short time.
