Edmonds (inspecting at S. M. I.): “How long has this dirt been here?” Fish: “I don’t know, sir; I wasn’t here last year.” Cadet Prather, the clever foot ball end, was up to see the Ka- liph’s parade; and someone else also. Comdt.—“What are you, an officer?” Luckett: “No, sir.” Comdt: “What are you then.” Luckett: “A fish.” Simpson J. asked Col. Foster if he couldn’t hang the ceiling to a pulley. Fish—(speaking to another):— “Has your captain given five in line yet?” Officer:—“Fall out and give this old man that place.” New Boy:—“I am as old as he is.” Moseley, (speaking to Fitzger ald): “Fitz, what kind of work are you going to do?” Fitz: “I am going to do office work.” Moseley: “Yes, with a broom.” Winkler (bunting for milk wells): “Professor, where are the ink wells?” Bryan W. P. says he will vote for Clegg to be adjutant next year. Abbott wants to know if the ladies of Bryan made the uni forms for the cadets. Clegg says when he entered col lege he signed the pledge that he had no deadly firearm in his pos session. Branch wants to know what a boy has got to do before he is put in that jail back of the Gathright Hall. Scherer, (at a dance, rushing up to a young lady)—“You must remember, Miss , we have ‘Home, Sweet Home” together.” Cadet Brazelton has been very ill for the past week, but we are all glad to note he is now recov ering. Dr. Sneed, of Waco, has been attending him. Lieut. McGinnis, Sergt. Elrod, Corp. Oxhen and Cadets David son and Sneed spent Educational day at the Dallas fair. Col. Copeland, one of the prom inent lawyers of NewYork, deliv ered a very instructive and inter esting lecture to the cadets Tues day, 3.
