VALEDICTORY ADDRESS. BY E. J. KYEE. His Excellency, the Governor of the State, honorable Board of Directors, be loved President, respected Faculty, Corps of Cadets, Ladies andiGentlemen: The great clock of destiny has ag-ain struck the hour when this college must send forth its yearly representa tives, who are to reflect either honor or dishonor upon her glorious name. Through the blessing of Divine Providence, there are of us senior brothers, who have finished our work here, twenty-one, who now stand ready to bear the banner of the class of ’99 into the ranks of those who have gone be fore us, and stand with them in the great battle of life. Realizing the great responsibilities that will devolve upon us with the setting of to-day’s sun, we would enter upon our new duties with a feeling of hesitation and doubt; but that as we look around us we catch an enthusiasm that nerves us to fresh confidence in ourselves. For we behold a host of relatives and friends who have gathered here from all parts of this great state, to bestow their blessing upon us and bid us God-speed, as we turn the first mile stone on our journey of life. We assure you that we ap preciate your kindness, and we bid you welcome, thrice
