The competition drill resulted as follows: A company, score 975.10; B company, 943.19; C company, 891.10; D company, 849.10. B company, shortest time, 9 minutes and 25 seconds. Judges, Captain Nichols of Greenville, Captian McCormick of Houston. W. Buhler won the competition drill in the Ross vol unteers and was presented a medal by Miss Nellie Smith, sponsor. Company A to Captain Kyle, a watch, presentation by Colonel L. L. Foster. Corps of cadets to Captain Kyle, watch chain, pre sentation by P. L. Downs of Temple. Sidney Beal, best drilled man in company C, was pre sented with a medal by Miss Edna Foster, sponsor. Compan) 7 ' C to Captain E. L. Martin, watch by J. S. Radford of Houston. Company B presented Captain Poulter with a gold watch, Mr. Wilson of Port Lavaca making the present ing speech. Company D had Hon. E. J. Smith of Denison to pre sent Captain Sloss with a watch.
