Governor Sayers addressed the graduating class, con gratulating them on securing their diplomas, which he de scribed as a passport to the world, an introduction to the peo ple among whom they shall hereafter make their homes. He told them that they are now the guardians, not alone of their own honor, but of that of this institution and of the state as well, ard that they could not shirk the re sponsibility. “I have confidence in the boys of Texas,” he said, “and have no fear but that you will acquit yourselves with honor along the line of duty to God, to your country and to yourselves. Let duty be your watchword and rise to that noble stature when all the world may say, ‘Behold, there stands a man.’ I have been associated with the best and worst of men in peace and war and have never known
