The individual competition for best drilled man in each company resulted as follows: Company A, W. T. Garbade of Wilting, Texas. (Jompan} T B, C. H. Bruce of Mineola. Company C, Sidney Beal of Colorado City. Company D, A. R. Bailey of Colorado City. Best drilled man in corps, winners of competitions and noncommissioned officers competing, W. T. Garbade of Wilting, Texas. The judges of the competition were Captain J. P. Nichols and George McCormick, who are graduates of the college, and subsequently among the distinguished j^oung- volunteer officers of the state. The attendance of visitors to-day was the largest of the three days, and larger perhaps than at any time for years. At 10 o’clock the assembly hall was filled to overflow ing down stairs and in the wide galleries. Many were un able to obtain seats and the gathering was truly repre sentative of the whole state visitors being present from every section. The exercises interspersed throughout with music by the band, were opened by President Foster in a few well chosen introductory remarks, after which a fer vent invocation was offered by Rev.
