Junior class—116 points, 1st place. Sophomore class—64 points, 2nd place. Freshman class—25 points, 4th place. Base Ball Game. The first gfame College played this season took place Saturday, April 22nd, with the Bryan boys, on the latter’s diamond. The game was slow throughout; the batting of both teams was poor, and there was no such thing ex hibited as team work. Another thing was plainly dis played during the game, and is acknowledged with shame as a disgrace to our college, and that was the way our boys quarreled among themselves, and the tendency of seeking individual distinction. As long as these things exist we cannot expect to gain fame at base ball; therefore let’s go at it with the right spirit and the student body will always be ready to support their college team. The feature of the game was Baumgarten’s pitching. He did exceedingly well, and deserves much credit for the manner in which he controlled his balls and watched his bases.
