THE STATUS OF THE A. AND IT. COLLEGE.
The board of directors of the Texas A. and M. Col-
leg-e, in their report to the grovernor, have asked for certain
appropriations for maintenance and betterments to sustain
and place the eolleg-e in a position to more effectually per
form its duties to the people. Let us pause here and reflect
