14 THE BATTALION. chapter of the Fraternity. Such chapters will be desig nated b y numbers in order of their organization, and by such names as their members may select. When three or more members desire to form a chapter they shall make application to the commander, setting forth their desire and the names and numbers of the mem bers. The commander will then, either in person or by representative, call a meeting and organize and instruct such chapter. The members shall then elect the follow ing officers: President, vice president, secretary and treasurer. They shall adopt such by-laws for their government as they may desire. These chapters shall be social or ganizations and may adopt such plan as may deem best for the pleasure of their members and the advancement of this Fraternity. They may confer the first degree upon such ex-cadets as have been duly admitted by the Campus Coun cil, but shall not be authorized to admit members to the Fraternity, and shall only receive as members such ex cadets as have been duly admitted when advised by the adjutant. Art. 2. Local chapters may levy and collect such as sessments for their own expenses as they may desire, but dues to the Fraternity shall be paid direct to the quarter master as hereinbefore provided. The secretary of each local chapter shall submit a re port to the adjutant on the 15th of May* each year, giving roster of its members and a brief account of the trans actions for the year previous.
