Art. 2. The first six named above shall be elected at
the annual meeting of the Fraternity to serve one year, or
until their successors shall have qualified. The remaining
four officers shall be appointed by the commander to serve
during his term of office.
Art. 3. The duties of the officers shall be as follows:
The commander shall be the chief executive officer of the
Fraternity. He shall preside at all meetings, and ap
point committees. He shall have authority to call special
meeting of the Fraternity, to temporarily suspend any
officer for cause pending action by the Campus Council.
He shall appoint a suitable person to fill any office vacated
by death or resignation, and to temporarily fill any of
fice vacant by reason of absence of regular officer from
meeting. He shall sign all warrants drawn by the adju
tant on the quartermaster, and generally perform the
duties that pertain to such an office. He shall submit at
each annual meeting a full report of the condition of the
Fraternity with such recommendations for its future wel
fare as he may see fit.
The vice commander shall, in the adsence of the com
mander, perform the duties of the latter, and in event of
the death or permanent disability of the commander he
shall succeed to that office and perform the duties thereof.
