/ THE BATTALION. 9 Unless there are seven or more adverse votes at such meet ing- the applicant shall be declared a member. Art. 4. The membership shall be divided in two classes known as deg-rees—the privileg-es shall be the same, except that no member shall be entitled to hold an office in the Fraternity until he shall have taken the se cond degree. Art. 5. In addition to the above there shall be an honorary membership known as the “Veterans.” The membership in this shall be limited to twenty-five and shall never exceed that number. To this, only such ex cadets as have attained prominence throug-h their own ef forts and are entitled to recogmition bj^ their fellow mem bers, shall be eligible, and no one shall be eligible until he has been away from colleg-e five years or more. Members may be nominated for this honor only at their annual meeting's and to be elected shall receive the votes of three- fourths of the members present, and there shall be not more than five persons elected to this honor in any one meeting-. SECTION III. Art. 1. The business meeting- of the Fraternity and its transactions shall be secret. Art. 2. The ceremonies of initiation of members, etc., shall be prescribed by the committee on work at the meet ing- wherein this constitution is adopted and shall be secret. SECTION IV. Art. 1.
