among- the ex-cadets of the Agricultural and Mechanical
College of Texas, to cultivate in each of its members an
interest in the welfare of others, to foster and maintain
an interest in the success of the said college and to use all
honorable means to assist in placing the said college
among the foremost institutions of learning in the country.
Art. 3. The Fraternitj r ma}^ also construct on the
college campus a suitable building for the accommodation
of its members, for holding its meetings and for such other
purposes as the Fraternity may wish.
SECTION II.
Article 1. Any person who attended, as a student, the
Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas for one term
or more, left in good standing and has since conducted
himself in an upright and honorabe manner shall, after
one year’s absence from the college, be eligible for mem
bership.
Art. 2. The president of the college shall be, ex-
officio, a member of the Fraternity, and entitled to all
privileges thereof.
Art. 3. Any ex-cadet desiring to become a member
shall fill out and sign a blank application for membership
and send the same to the adjutant. Such application shall
be submitted for action to the Campus Council, hereinafter
provided for. It shall be endorsed by two members in
good standing. All members of the Campus Council must
vote on each application. If a majority shall be in favor,
the applicant shall be duly elected, if against the applica
tion it shall stand in suspense until the next annual meeting
of the Fraternity, when it shall be presented for action.
